Anthony & Rob, high school friends who both enjoy playing outdoors and ruminating about all things food related, wondered why it was so difficult to find restaurants serving reasonably healthy foods made from real ingredients. You know, things like whole grains, unprocessed vegetables, and hormone and antibiotic free meats.
They searched high and low and didn’t see anything they liked, so they decided to start making the foods they craved themselves. Their menu is simple (they hate things containing ingredients they can’t pronounce), yet it is very unique, flavorful, colorful, healthy and (insert your own positive sounding adjective here).
Anthony has a very short attention span, and as such, the menu changes quite a bit. While they always serve pizzas and salads, the specific ingredients change many times throughout the year. Just like the seasons (what a novel concept).
A & R both love to ski and ride bikes outdoors. Therefore, mM does everything it can (within reason of course) to make as small of a dent on the environment as possible. Localized and seasonal menu selections, humanely raised meats, and eco-friendly store building practices are just a few examples of things we do to help out Mother Nature. Interestingly enough, all these practices actually help the bottom line too. Ask our accountant, he checked our math.
ModMarket is a small company with a big goal. Great food at reasonable prices that is good for you, and doesn’t harm the environment. Actually, that goal doesn’t seem like that big of deal, it just sort of makes sense. Right?
